audience feedback from magazine front cover

I created my magazine front cover on photoshop and posted my final product onto twitter and facebook to get some feedback on how to improve it.
sam said that he liked:

  • text wraps around the magazine
  • content
  • the blood splats
however, he said that I need to improve:
  • write 'interview special' in capitals
  • gold colour scheme - it contradicts horror
  • add date under issue number
  • make circle banner 3d
jodie likes:

  • the blood splatters
however she said that there needs to be improvements on:

  • make the main image stand out more
  • sell line images less bold
  • put the date on the front cover
on twitter i posted my magazine and poster on together and got some feedback

  • Haley thought my magazine front cover was good
  • Lauren thought my magazine front cover was very good and I don't need to change anything
  • Laura thought my magazine front cover was good and I don't need to change anything
  • Sophie thought my magazine front cover was good

I also interviewed Tricia Davison to see what she thought about my poster and magazine front cover
She liked:
  • colours
  • layout
  • she thought is was easy to read
  • eye catching
  • she thought it was intriguing - it makes you want to know what the film is about and why you want to watch it
  • she also managed to work out the story line by the poster and magazine front cover
Although she said many good points about my poster and magazine front cover, she also disliked and things to improve on:
  • who the main character is in the film
  • she wants to know more about the child
  • she thought i need to try and put a connection between the poster and the magazine front cover to know that they are linked and relate to each other
  • she also thought that i could make up an interview with a famous star to lure more potential audience in and persuade them to watch it.
